Arguineguín itself has no adults-only hotel that we can confirm. The nearest confirmed adults-only hotels are in Puerto Rico and Playa del Cura, a short drive west, and several places in town offer adults-only pools or zones.
There is no confirmed adults-only hotel in Arguineguín or Patalavaca. The nearest ones are along the coast to the west, in the Puerto Rico and Playa del Cura area of the same municipality (Mogán): the four-star H10 Costa Mogán, which says on its own website that it is recommended for guests aged 18 and over, and Punta del Rey in Puerto Rico, which booking sites list as adults-only. Closer to home you can get a child-free corner of a family resort, or a quiet base in town.
The list below is short on purpose. Booking sites tag hotels as "adults only" loosely, and some tags are out of date, so a hotel appears here only if there is clear evidence for it. The town-by-town hotel guides are the best hotels in Arguineguín and Patalavaca and hotels in Puerto Rico and Amadores.
The confirmed and probable list
| Hotel | Where | What we know | Evidence |
|---|---|---|---|
| H10 Costa Mogán | Playa del Cura, next to Tauro beach | Four-star; adults-only (recommended for ages 18 and over); all-inclusive rates offered; its own site says it has entertainment by day and in the evening | Hotel's own website |
| Punta del Rey – Adults Only | Avenida de Mogán, Puerto Rico | Three-star; booking sites put it near Puerto Rico beach, with a pool and rooftop terrace and kitchenettes in rooms | Several booking sites; the hotel's own page could not be opened |
Confirm the age policy, the exact minimum age and the board basis directly with the hotel before you pay, particularly for Punta del Rey. A policy can change between seasons.
H10 Costa Mogán, Playa del Cura
H10 describes this as a four-star hotel on the shore of Playa del Cura, close to Tauro beach, with sea views, a promenade with shops and restaurants at the door, and a Blue Team entertainment programme. It says Amadores beach and Puerto Rico are a short distance away, and that Puerto de Mogán is about 15 minutes away by bus. It is an adults-only hotel run in a resort style: all-inclusive, buffet and à la carte restaurants and several bars. If you want quiet, you will find it; if you want a town with a market, a fishing harbour and a bus line, you will want to base yourself in Arguineguín and come for a day.
The beach and village around it are covered in Playa del Cura and Taurito and Playa del Cura beach; the sister site Canary Guide has a short page on Playa del Cura.
Punta del Rey, Puerto Rico
Several booking sites list Punta del Rey as a three-star, adults-only property on Avenida de Mogán, close to the beach, with a pool and a rooftop terrace. Rooms are said to have kitchenettes, which makes it more of an aparthotel than a resort. One German listing adds that guests under 21 cannot check in without a parent or guardian, which is the sort of detail worth checking. Puerto Rico has a marina, restaurants and nightlife; for the town see Puerto Rico de Gran Canaria.
Adults-only pools and zones closer to Arguineguín
You may not need a whole hotel. Two operators advertise adult-only spaces inside family places:
- Arguineguín Park by Servatur, a complex of apartments about ten minutes' walk from Arguineguín beach, has a pool reserved for adults with a sea view, alongside a main pool and a children's pool.
- Servatur Puerto Azul, a four-star hotel in Puerto Rico between Amadores and Puerto Rico beaches, has an "exclusive adults' zone" for relaxing, next to a splash area for children. That is a zone, not an adults-only hotel.
These suit couples who want a quiet pool without giving up a kitchen, a bar or a resort's facilities. The trade-off is that children are still in the building.
What adults-only does and does not mean
- Age limits differ. H10 gives 18; one booking listing for Punta del Rey says guests under 21 need a parent or guardian. Check each hotel's own page.
- It is a policy, not a guarantee of silence. Entertainment programmes and poolside music can be loud.
- Prices are not always higher. The saving or premium depends on the season and board basis. For ways to cut cost, see budget accommodation in and around Arguineguín.
- Family-friendly hotels nearby. Gloria Palace hotels in Amadores are not adults-only, according to their listings, which mention children's pools and clubs.
Costa Mogán by day pass: if you prefer the market and harbour of Arguineguín but want a quiet resort pool for a day, ask H10 or Punta del Rey whether they sell day passes. Neither is confirmed to sell them.
Child-free without adults-only
A child-free feel is often a matter of choosing the right place in the right season. Arguineguín's evenings are quiet; the town is not built around kids' clubs. The seafront strip to Patalavaca and Anfi is calmer outside school holidays, and the harbour-side restaurants cater to adults. For couples, the couples' guide to Arguineguín collects walks, wine and quiet restaurants. For help choosing between the three towns, see Arguineguín, Puerto Rico or Puerto de Mogán. For apartment versus hotel, see apartments, aparthotels or hotels.
Other adults-only hotels exist further east around Maspalomas and Meloneras, but they are a different base, about 13 km from Arguineguín by road to the lighthouse at Maspalomas; see Maspalomas and Meloneras from Arguineguín.
Frequently asked questions
Is there an adults-only hotel in Arguineguín?
None is confirmed in Arguineguín or Patalavaca. The nearest confirmed ones are in the Puerto Rico and Playa del Cura area, a short drive west.
Is the H10 Costa Mogán adults only?
Yes. H10's own website describes it as an adults-only hotel recommended for guests aged 18 and over, in Playa del Cura, and offers all-inclusive rates.
What is the minimum age at adults-only hotels in Gran Canaria?
It is set by each hotel. H10 Costa Mogán gives 18, while one listing for Punta del Rey says guests under 21 need a parent or guardian. Check the hotel's own page.
Is the Sunwing Arguineguín adults only?
No. Its listings describe a playground and a children's offer, so treat it as a general hotel, not an adults-only one. Ask the hotel if you want a quiet room.

Some resorts have one. Arguineguín Park by Servatur has an adults-only pool, and Servatur Puerto Azul has an adults' zone. Both also have areas for children.
Are there adults-only hotels at Anfi del Mar?
Anfi del Mar is a family-oriented timeshare resort with apartment clubs. No adults-only accommodation is listed there. See the Anfi del Mar page for what it offers.
