The closest golf to Arguineguín is Anfi Golf by Lopesan (also sold as Anfi Tauro Golf), in the Tauro valley in the municipality of Mogán. It has an 18-hole course and a separate 9-hole par-3 course. Its own price list for 1 October 2026 to 30 April 2027 shows an 18-hole green fee of €145 for non-members, against €95 on the summer list that ran from 1 May to 30 September 2026. Anfi Golf by Lopesan in the Tauro valley

This is the course most Arguineguín visitors mean. The operator describes it as an Arizona-style 18-hole layout designed by Von Hagge, Smelek and Baril, covering more than 650,000 m², with lakes, waterfalls and the sea in the background. Anfi's own site says it was designed in 2006; the island's golf booking portal says it was inaugurated in 2007, so treat the opening year as 2006–07. The portal lists the course as par 72.

Alongside it is a 9-hole par-3 course, which the operator calls the best alternative for beginners and which has hosted the Spanish Pitch & Putt Championship. Facilities include a driving range, putting area and chipping green with a bunker, a restaurant with a terrace beside the pools, a food truck with views of the course, a pro shop and GPS in all buggies. For the valley itself, see Tauro and Anfi Tauro, and for the wider resort Anfi del Mar.

Anfi Golf green fees for 2026–27

These figures come from Anfi's rates page (checked 24 October 2026); summer 2027 prices are not yet published there. Prices include tax. "Non-member" is the price for anyone who is not an Anfi member or Anfi client.

The page also lists 5- and 6-fee vouchers, and members and Anfi clients pay less. The vouchers are valid at Anfi Golf, Meloneras Golf and Maspalomas Golf, which makes them worth a look if you plan to play more than one course. A buggy is €25 per person and club rental €45. On the championship courses a buggy is compulsory all year round. Non-playing companions are subject to availability and are arranged at the pro shop.

Handicap, dress code and booking at Anfi

Anfi's FAQ sets a maximum handicap of 28 for men and 36 for women on the 18-hole course. If you do not have a handicap, the 9-hole par-3 course is the obvious place to start. The dress code is a collared polo shirt (shirts without collars are not accepted), no jeans, and golf shoes with spikes; ordinary trainers are usually refused.

Booking in advance is necessary to guarantee a tee time, especially from October to March. Book through Anfi's rates and booking page, or through the Gran Canaria Golf portal, which carries a tee-time booking page for each course.

Anfi twilight rounds. A round starting from 15:00 is priced around a third lower than the full winter 18-hole fee (€94 against €145). In winter the light fades early, so it suits fast players or a 9-hole round better than a full 18.

The Maspalomas and Meloneras courses

If Anfi is full, or you want a different test, the island's golf portal lists these courses to the east.

CourseHoles and parWhat the operator says
Meloneras Golf by Lopesan18 holes, par 71Designed by Ron Kirby; nine holes with mountain views and nine with ocean views, three on the coastline; GPS buggies; on the GC-500
Maspalomas Golf18 holes, par 73Designed by Mackenzie Ross; flat, with long, wide fairways beside the dunes nature reserve
Salobre Golf & Resort27 holes on two courses (Old and New)The Old Course opened in 1999 and hosted the Spanish PGA in 2006

The Cabildo's golf page also names the Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas, but that is on the other side of the island. Green fees for the courses in the table are not published here, so use their pages in the Sources list or the portal's booking links. Maspalomas and Meloneras are covered more generally in Maspalomas and Meloneras from Arguineguín.

Getting to the course without a car

None of the operators' pages describes public transport to the course. Practically, that means a hire car or a taxi: see taxis in Arguineguín and, for the bus lines that do serve the coast, buses in and from Arguineguín. Faro de Maspalomas is about 13 km from Arguineguín by road. Clubs fit in a car boot but not easily in a bus aisle, so tell your taxi in advance that you have golf bags. Airline rules for sports equipment vary; check before you book if you are flying with your own set.

When to play and what to bring

The weather is the point of golfing here, but no official climate figures exist for Arguineguín itself. The nearest AEMET station, at Gran Canaria airport on the east coast, shows average daily highs of about 21 °C in January and 27.5 °C in August; the south-west is usually sunnier. Anfi's own pricing makes the winter months the expensive ones, and last summer's list was cheaper, but midday summer heat is another matter, so read sun, heat and UV and take water. Other active options in the area include road cycling, hiking and gyms, yoga and padel.
