For a view over the water, try La Barca near the beach, the Cofradía at the fishing harbour, or Maroa Club de Mar and Nube at Anfi del Mar. Ask for a terrace table when you book.
The easy answers are three. The fishing harbour, where the Cofradía de Pescadores restaurant looks over the boats; La Barca, an open-air restaurant near the town beach whose reviewers praise the view of the bay; and Anfi del Mar, where Maroa Club de Mar has a terrace overlooking the sea and Nube looks across to the heart-shaped island and the marina. Patalavaca has little with a confirmed listing, so for views from the dinner table most people head east to Anfi or west into Arguineguín.
Below we say what each view actually is (harbour, bay or marina), what we know about the food, and how to improve your chance of getting the table you want. "Sea view" is a generous phrase in resort towns, and a view of a harbour wall is not the same as a view of the open Atlantic.

The harbour view: Cofradía de Pescadores
The Cofradía de Pescadores is at the fishing harbour, so what you see is working boats and the quay, not a postcard beach. For many visitors that is the point. Reviews in 2026 praise the seafood and the atmosphere, and say it is busy at weekends. For what to eat, see the fresh fish page.
The bay view: La Barca
La Barca is on Calle Graciliano Afonso, close to the beach. 2026 reviewers describe an open-air restaurant with a view over the bay and the harbour and a sunset worth lingering for. The menu is wide: tapas, pizza, paella, grilled meat and seafood. Opinions on value differ, with praise for a cheap fish dinner and a complaint about the price of coffees, so read the menu prices before ordering. One reviewer reports a paella for two at €44, a figure that should be treated as an example, not a current price. Vegetarians are said to be welcome.
The beach it overlooks is the subject of its own guide, Arguineguín town beach.
Taste Mesón and the sea-view question
Taste Mesón is listed on Plaza de las Marañuelas. Older web pages describe it as being at the harbour entrance with panoramic views, but different listings give different addresses and the view is not verified, so it is not called a sea-view restaurant. Choose it for the wine and the food, not the outlook, and ask when you book if the view matters.
Grills and steaks with a view: Cueva Pirata
Cueva Pirata, on Avenida Los Canarios, is a grill restaurant. A few October 2026 reviewers mention sea views and sunset, others a window table and an open kitchen. Since reviews do not say which tables have the view, ask when you book. Details of the menu are on the best restaurants page.
Anfi del Mar: marina, island and a beach club
Anfi del Mar is the one place near Arguineguín where restaurants are designed around the water. The resort's own website says:
- Nube, on Anfi Plaza, has "impressive views of the island and marina". It specialises in grilled meat and local and international dishes and has an extensive wine list. Hours listed: 12:00–23:00.
- Maroa Club de Mar is a beach club with creative cooking and a chill-out area overlooking the sea, with sunbeds. Hours listed: 08:30–23:00.
- La Posada (Tex-Mex, charcoal grill) is "a stone's throw from Anfi beach". Hours listed: 10:00–22:30.
- Mar de Tapas offers national and local tapas. Hours listed: 11:00–22:30.
The hours on Anfi's page are undated, so check before you go. For the beach, the marina and the resort itself, see Anfi del Mar.
The Anfi Plaza window table. At resort restaurants such as Nube, ask for a terrace or window table by name when you book and say what time you are arriving. A view of the marina at 13:00 is a different thing from a view at 21:00.
What about Patalavaca?
Patalavaca sits between Arguineguín and Anfi, with a beach, apartments and a hotel zone. No Patalavaca restaurant has a confirmed current status, so none is listed. The nearest dependable sea-view tables are the Anfi ones above. The area is described in Patalavaca: the quiet strip between Arguineguín and Anfi, and the beach in the Patalavaca beach guide.
Tips for getting the table you want
- Book ahead and ask for a terrace or a table with a view. Reviewers at most of the places above recommend reserving.
- Do not assume the sun sets behind your table. Ask which way the terrace faces.
- Sun and wind: a south-coast terrace at midday can be hot. Bring a hat and ask about shade or an umbrella.
- Check prices before you sit. The best-view tables are not always the best value, and a coffee at a seafront terrace can cost more than in a side street. For a sense of what is normal, see eating out: prices, tipping and customs.
Frequently asked questions
Which restaurants in Arguineguín have a sea view?
La Barca near the beach, the Cofradía de Pescadores at the fishing harbour and, according to some reviews, Cueva Pirata. At Anfi del Mar, Maroa Club de Mar overlooks the sea and Nube looks over the island and marina.
Are there sea-view restaurants in Patalavaca?
None is confirmed at present. The nearest well-documented options are the restaurants at Anfi del Mar, next door.
Where can I watch the sunset over dinner?
Reviewers mention sunset views at La Barca and Cueva Pirata. Ask which way the terrace faces when you book.
Is the Cofradía de Pescadores on the sea?
It sits at the fishing harbour, so the view is of the harbour and the boats rather than an open beach.
Do I need to book a table with a view?
Yes, especially at weekends and in the evening. Say you would like a terrace or window table.
Can non-residents eat at the Anfi restaurants?
Anfi lists these restaurants on its public website with opening hours, but check with the restaurant, since some are attached to the resort clubs.
